Costing

We assess every project on its own merits, breaking the project down by schedule so we can assess the client’s goals and then price from first principles. Wherever possible, we look to add value, reduce costs and mitigate risks to the client.

Having an experienced team means we can identify areas for improvement and propose alternative approaches in order to deliver the best outcome for the project budget. We can provide design and build services or collaborate directly with the engineering team to create an economic solution.

Value engineering

HCL has extensive experience in the construction of numerous geotechnical solutions. Having completed over $60 million of projects, we have the ability to assess existing designs for optimisation and propose alternative solutions that enhance value.

Our Value Engineering solutions can range from broad changes of design to improving design parameters. Value Engineering stretches beyond just calculations- in many instances, the concept of what is being proposed can be improved on.

Our collaborative efforts with the design and engineering teams early in the process have resulted in the realisation of huge gains via savings during construction such as the reduction of direct costs, programme, materials, and less landfill waste overall.
