Halverson Civil Limited (HCL) is a Wellington-based contractor specialising in geotechnical construction across the lower North Island. With over three decades of experience, we are trusted ground engineering specialists with a track record for reliable project delivery.
Founded in 1994 by Clarke Halverson as Halverson Contracting Limited, the company initially focused on site works before expanding into drilling and retaining systems. In 2006, we broadened our capabilities through the acquisition of an established ground engineering company, laying the foundation for the business Halverson Civil Limited is today.
In 2008, Ryan Halverson joined the business, bringing international piling experience and a passion for value engineering. Under Ryan’s leadership, HCL has evolved into a modern, technically driven geotechnical contractor, known for technical excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
